Foodies wanted

Changing jobs or starting your first job is a big deal, so you want to get it right. You can’t miss at Giant/Martin’s, where the work is fun, people love what they do and we give it our all to get better every day. Oh, and did we mention the food? Working for the region’s leading grocer is the perfect place for foodies, whether you’ve got your eye on a store management job, you’re cut out for corporate or you’d rather hang with customers. It’s a feast of opportunities!

Kim's Story

KimOharaGiant took care of me and I fell in love with the business! I never looked back and I’m so pleased with my new career path. After working part-time for five years, I became a Store Employment Associate and worked up to Assistant Store Manager. I’d like to eventually be a Store Manager, Human Resources Manager or even a District Director. Each new role exposes me to new opportunities and I never feel “stuck.” At Giant every day is new and there’s never a dull moment. I learn something every day and get to work with people from all walks of life. The most important thing I do is “walk the walk.” I work with my team and never ask them to do something I wouldn’t do myself. Together we make our company great. I’ve always been encouraged to step out of my comfort zone and find the best in myself. I advise new Associates to do the same: tell your manager what you’re interested in and make it happen!

In 2003, I took a part-time job at GIANT because it offered me work/life balance. Now,12 years later, here I am.
